BREGENZER

CEO

Welcome to tree time ag!

We are a Swiss company led by CEO Patrick Bregenzer, passionately committed to sustainable reforestation in Laos. Our project aims to support the Lao people in the cultivation, marketing, and processing of high-quality tree species. In doing so, we offer not only consultancy but also investment opportunities.

We firmly believe that the future of forestry lies in close collaboration with local communities. Therefore, we place great emphasis on their active involvement. Our goal is to create sustainable economic opportunities that benefit both the local communities and the environment.

However, our vision goes far beyond purely economic objectives. Through responsible forestry, we strive to create not only economic but also ecological and social value. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are at the heart of our efforts. Our work aims not only to strengthen the local economy but also to contribute to the achievement of these global goals.

Advocating for Sustainability

Our mission is to not only protect the environment through our reforestation projects but also to improve the quality of life for people. We strive to harmonize ecological, social, and economic sustainability to create a livable future for all.

Our vision is a greener future for generations to come. Through reforestation projects, we are committed to preserving vibrant ecosystems that consider both nature and human needs. We aim to work hand in hand with farmers to create sustainable solutions together.

Why our location makes the difference

Local community

People in Chomphet and surrounding areas are often dependent on agricultural activities. Reforestation projects provide an opportunity to create alternative sources of income and improve the livelihoods of local communities.

Suitable climate

The tropical climate in Luang Prabang with a clear rainy and dry season offers optimal conditions for the growth of teak, acacia and eucalyptus. Luang Prabang is at the same altitude as Burma and Lampang, well-known regions for high-quality teak.

Natural resources

The region has rich natural resources such as fertile soils and sufficient water and moisture, which are essential for the growth of trees.

Environmental protection

Reforestation measures reduce flooding, erosion and soil degradation, while at the same time creating new humus. This contributes to the long-term preservation of the environment and offers ecological benefits for the region. In addition, CO2 is bound.

Responsible for the management of the project, the coordination with all stakeholders and the efficient allocation of resources for the implementation of the reforestation activities.

Government of Laos / Forestry Ministries

Supports the project with regulatory guidance, technical expertise and required permits. Ensures that the project complies with forest regulations and environmental policies and promotes partnerships between stakeholders.

Farmer

Local farmers play an essential role by providing land for reforestation and implementing sustainable forestry practices. Some also support the production of high-quality seedlings or their services.

Village Forest Management Project (VFMP)

The VFMP acts as a facilitator and helps to improve the cooperation and effectiveness of the project, in particular by providing local expertise and solving problems at local level.

Our resources

Expertise and experience

Our team has many years of experience in working with and training people, project management and sustainable development and brings a wealth of expertise to the table.

Financial resources

We are investing our own financial resources to support the reforestation activities in Chomphet District, Luang Prabang, Laos, and to ensure that the project can be successfully implemented.

Partnerships and networks

Engagement and support

We maintain close partnerships and collaborative relationships with various stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, universities and foresters, to pool resources and successfully implement the project.

We are determined to make the reforestation project a sustainable success, with the support and commitment of our employees, partners and local stakeholders.

Our planet, our responsibility

To offer farmers a flexible way to invest and profit, we have developed three different models. These models allow farmers to maximize their benefit from our reforestation project while giving them the flexibility to adapt to their individual needs and resources.

These different models offer farmers the opportunity to participate and benefit from the project according to their individual skills, interests and resources. Our flexibility allows us to engage a wide range of stakeholders and ensure that the reforestation is beneficial for all involved.

Partnership model

In this model, farmers can enter into a partnership with us by providing land for reforestation. In return, they receive a share of the profits from the project and benefit from the long-term income from the sale of timber products. They also have the opportunity to generate food from intercrop.

Employment model

For farmers who are looking for employment opportunities, we offer the possibility to provide services. They can participate in various tasks within the project, such as tree planting, maintenance and plantation management, and receive fair remuneration for their work.

Seedling production model

For farmers who have the skills and resources to produce seedlings, we offer a seedling production model. They can produce high-quality seedlings according to our specifications and receive fair compensation for their work.
